Chinese rice imports are expected to increase again in 2025

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has stated that Chinese rice imports are expected to increase again in 2025, as rice prices in Asia are expected to fall after India eased its export restrictions. As a result, China is expected to increase its imports from its traditional long-grain rice suppliers, including Vietnam, Myanmar, Pakistan, Thailand, and Cambodia.
